As a writer, I do my best to keep up with changes in the publishing industry. While I never submitted any work to them for publication, I was sad to hear Samhain Publishing is closing its doors. In case you're unfamiliar with them, they launched their business in 2005. They publish romance as well as horror. They also publish such well known authors such as Maya Banks and Vivien Arend.
