For about the last 10 months or so, my Facebook page posts have consisted mainly of quotes about reading and/or writing and little else. While I was working the longer hours, posting the quotes was about all I had time for. Now that my work hours have changed and I'm back to having a scheduled writing time every week day, one of my goals is to do more with my Facebook page than I have been.
The problem is I'm not sure what exactly to post that will be of interest. I follow other authors so I have a general idea of what other writers post. Given how Facebook limits how many people actually see a post on any given day, I'm torn between posting every day or just a couple of times a week.
So here's my question to you -- As a reader what do you look for or hope to see on an author's page? As a writer, what type of things do you post that seem to garner you the most views? How many times do you post each week?

You CAN be sued...
A very informative post about using photos/pictures in blogs, on Facebook, Pinterest and other social media sites and the consequences of copyright infringement was posted to one of the loops I belong to.
I received permission from the blogger, National Bestselling Author Roni Loren, to post an excerpt here along with a link back to her original post.
For those of you who are super observant, you may have noticed some changes on my blog over the last few months. Tumblr posts went away. Fiction Groupie disappeared. I deleted most of my Pinterest boards. The Boyfriend of the Week has changed format. And all my previous posts from the past three years--all 700 of them--now have new photos on them.
Why is that? What happened?
Well, you've probably figured it out from the title, but it's because I've been involved in a case regarding a photo I used on my blog. Like most of you, I'm a casual blogger...
Please click on the title of Roni's post (underlined above) to read the rest of her experience. I'm also including another link here in case the first one doesn't work. Link: http://www.roniloren.com/blog/2012/7/20/bloggers-beware-you-can-get-sued-for-using-pics-on-your-blog.html
If you post pictures or photos on any of your social media sites using photos/pictures you've found on the internet, please read her entire post and the comments. There is a lot of really good information included in the comments section.

Bloggers Beware: You CAN Get Sued For Using Pics on Your Blog - My Story
So today I'm forgoing the usual Fill-Me-In Friday post to talk about something that I've been wanting to blog about for a while but couldn't until the situation was wrapped up.For those of you who are super observant, you may have noticed some changes on my blog over the last few months. This I know for sure...
I don't know how to reach new readers. That I definitely know for sure. I blog, belong to Goodreads, have an author page on Amazon, have a fan page on Facebook, and a regular Facebook page. I also guest blog when I can. I have a Twitter account but I haven't really done anything with it at this point. But in doing all this, I usually only reach the same people. At least it's usually the same people who leave a comment etc. Not that I'm complaining. I'm very, very grateful for those people who read my posts, comment on or like my Facebook status, etc. I'm just not sure how to expand my reach.
I'd love to hear any ideas you might have or things you've done that you think helped :o)
