Monday Check In

Last week...

Writing Related:  Low word/page count done last week. Either my mom or I had appointments four out of the seven days. One more this Wednesday and then we should be done with appointments for a while. I hope.

Motivational Quote: "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart." ~ The Bible, Colossians 3:23.  I don't usually post anything to do with religion, but I thought this quote was appropriate for anyone or everyone despite one's religious beliefs.

What I'm Reading: I should finish Picnic in Someday Valley by Jodi Thomas this evening. It's the second book in the Honey Creek series. It's written from an almost omniscient point of view or from a very distant third person view point with a lot of telling instead of showing, but the author has a way of connecting the characters with the reader despite that sense of distance. I'm going to read the other two books in the series.

Random Things:  I made almond blueberry bread and oatmeal walnut cookies this past weekend. I have another recipe for honey oatmeal bread that I want to make soon. It's finally starting to warm up in my area to about the mid-60's to low 70's. Once it gets much warmer than that on a more regular basis, I'll be done baking until the fall so I feel like I have to stock up now.

Random Photo:

A cookie from the small business owner I work for to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. It's always nice to know that you're appreciated.
