Celebrate?

For those of us who live in the US and Canada, today is the Labor Day holiday. A day off from work to celebrate workers. Sounds strange, doesn't it? 

Here's the official definition from the US Department of Labor:
Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.

So I plan on celebrating my contribution as a member of the American working class by sleeping in (It's a rare treat not to have the alarm go off at 5:15am on a Monday morning.) , leafing through a few magazines that I haven't had a chance to look at, and spending a leisurely day doing whatever my heart desires.
